More Awesome Prizes From My Fabulous Friends

Hey there! Today I'm introducing you to Jenny from Jessie Street Designs and Salena from A Little Piece of Me.....

Hello Everyone!  I'm Jenny from Jessie Street Designs and I thrilled to be here with Heather to help to celebrate her 200 readers at A Cupcake Love Affair :)

Square Logo125x125.jpg

I am a stay-at-home mom to three children - a four year old boy and three year old twin daughters. To pass the time "while my pretty ones sleep" I love to sew and work on DIY projects. Eventually, I decided to take this love of sewing and DIY up a notch and my etsy shop - Jessie Street Designs - was born.

The shop name, Jessie Street Designs, was inspired by my incredibly talented grandmothers - my maternal grandmother lived on Jessie Street and my paternal grandmother's first name was Jessie! In addition to many other things, they taught me that nothing beats a handmade item and many of the dresses and sweaters they made for our family have been cherished and handed down through generations:)

I love to find fun patterns and fabrics for my projects and each item is handmade by me in my smoke-free studio.
In addition to creating items for my shop, I also have a little blog called Jessie Street Designs where I share my decorating, cooking, organization and crafting adventures!  If you like to read, I also co-host a monthly "Ready, Set....READ" book link party.  I hope that you will stop by and say hi!!

Jenny is offering one item from her shop to the winner of the giveaway. How cool is that? Head over here to take a look...

A Few More Lovely Ladies...

Hello there! Here are a few more lovely ladies, donating items for the giveaway next week! Meet Adrianne from Happy Hour Projects, Meredith from Wait Til Your Father Gets Home, and Kara from Petals to Picots....

Hi!  I'm Adrianne, and I blog over at Happy Hour Projects, where I focus on quick and easy projects you can do in an hour or less!  You'll find a pretty wide variety of projects - jewelry, sewing, baking - but what they have in common is that I present photo tutorials for creative things you can actually fit into a busy day.  Because like a lot of you - my days are packed!

I'm a mom and a wife and a creative blogger, and I have an Etsy shop where I sell jewelry made from books and maps.  That's what I enjoy during my me-time!  I love crafting (especially for my daughter) and writing, so the blog has been the perfect outlet for both passions.  I've been at it nearly a year now, and I have enjoyed the connections I've made with other bloggers and creative people so much.  There are just some things you can talk to your creative friends about that no one else can understand!   I also work full-time, so I don't have as much time to enjoy my family and my hobbies as much as I would like (but hey, it's keeps a roof over our heads and my craft shelves stocked, which is a good thing!)

I'd love to see you over at Happy Hour Projects anytime!  I post tutorials and recipes Mondays - Thursdays, host a weekly link part on Fridays, and have the occasional giveaway or other fun post on the weekends.  Hope to see you soon!

Find me:

I'm Meredith from {Wait Til Your Father Gets Home}, a crafty and DIY blog that I recently started since becoming a stay at home mom to this little cutie...

First and foremost, I'm a wife and a mama. I also have a weakness for...chocolate (and find it really weird when people say they hate chocolate...who hates chocolate?!), flip flops, McDonald's caramel frappes, fall weather (this heat is making me wish away summer...I know I shouldn't, but it's HOT), and last, but not least, The Target Dollar Spot (Target + $1 = one happy mama).
I'm so excited for Heather to have reached 200 followers! Way to go girlfriend! To help her celebrate, I'll be giving away one handmade coffee cozy. The winner will have their choice between the two fabrics shown in the picture below.

I look forward to hearing from some of you soon!
Enjoy & Congratulations Heather!

Hey. My name is Kara and I blog over at Petals to Picots. I am a wife and stay at home mommy to three great kids. In my free time (ha-ha) I work as a freelance writer and editor to support my yarn addiction. My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was 9 years old, and I have been crocheting ever since. From trying new patterns to designing my own, I always have a crochet project stashed in my bag.

Kara will be giving away any two of her patterns in PDF form. Check out all her beautiful creations at:

In the Kitchen with Trudeau: a Review and Giveaway for YOU

I'm so excited about today's post! First, this is my first review and the company contacted ME! Yep, me!! I still can't believe it. Second, I LOVE these products (most of them, anyway). Third, and the best part, I get to give one set away to one of YOU lucky readers!!

Teaser: I made this pizza with some of the gadgets I'm reviewing today! :)

Let me introduce you to Trudeau. From their website:

Trudeau is a leading edge North American marketer and designer of innovative quality products. We are dedicated to creating a unique experience in preparing and serving foods and beverages, at home and on-the-go.

Trudeau Corporation was established in Montreal, Canada, in 1889, as an importer and distributor of high-end specialty goods from around the world, under the name Genin Trudeau. Trudeau Corporation soon developed an extensive distribution network along with a reputation for high-quality products and expert servicing.

In recent years, the company has invested in innovation, design and manufacturers products under the Trudeau brand, as well as several private-label brands for well-known U.S. retailers.

Family Heritage

Trudeau Corporation embodies four generations of family tradition and values. Chairman Robert Trudeau, his wife Deborah, and three of his children (Philippe, Anne-Marie and Paul) are actively providing corporate leadership. The company celebrated its 120 year anniversary in 2009.

Through a commitment to making consumers’ lives easier, Trudeau’s experienced team of designers creates fully functional and award winning kitchen products. Fresh thinking and modern design are just some of the hallmarks of a Trudeau product.

Trudeau products can be found in better housewares, specialty, independent and department stores in over 60 countries. With more than 150 new products introduced each year, the Trudeau brand continues to gain international recognition.

U.S. Headquarters

Trudeau’s U.S. headquarters are located in Woodridge, near Chicago, Illinois, occupying an 116,000 square foot facility, which includes offices, a warehouse and customer service division.  Trudeau Corporation is based in Montreal, Quebec in Canada.

A few weeks ago, a marketing assistant from this company contacted me about trying out some of their products and then sharing them with you. Well, I checked out the company, made sure it was legit, and jumped right on it. They sent me a package of 6 items and I waited with great anticipation for its arrival. Now, I have carpal tunnel in both wrists so it's hard for me to use regular, every day items in the kitchen. I've tried different can openers, cheese graters, etc...and, while some work fine, others do NOT. The products they sent (and that you will have a chance to win) are all from their stress-free line which is so cool! This is what I got in the mail:

The products pictured above are (in a circle starting at the top left) the Stress Less Cheese GraterStress Less Easy Grind Salt MillStress Less Easy Grind Pepper MillStress Less Can OpenerStress Less Pizza Cutterand the Stress Less Garlic Press. My favorite item is the can opener and the cheese grater is super easy to clean. Love garlic presses...period. And the mills are really easy on my wrist. Using the cheese grater was a little more difficult than cleaning it, but I think it's because it's really different than any others I've used before and I just need more practice. As for the pizza cutter, I didn't really see much of a difference from others except that you're able to hold it in a different position, but I do like the fact that everything matched! :) They're really beautiful gadgets and the salt and pepper mills look great on a counter or table!

As for the pizza I made with these products, I'll be sharing that later on this week! I know, I just hate it when we bloggers do that, don't you? But, hey...we have to keep you coming back somehow! :)

Now on to the giveaway! Trudeau has graciously offered one of these sets to one of my readers so go through the entry process below and good luck! Rafflecopter will walk you through it...

As always, happy reading and, more importantly, happy pizza making, uh....cupcake-ing!

100 {Awesome} Followers & a Giveaway!!

Wow. I can't even begin to express what I'm feeling right now. I started this blog 3 1/2 months ago because I wanted an outlet for my creativity - a place where I could create, experiment, and express myself without fear, totally free and comfortable enough to just be me. Little did I know, others would want to follow along, giving support and encouragement, offering guidance, and giving me a feeling of purpose! I am so grateful to all of you  for coming back post after post, with your kind words, laughter, and friendship. I love what I do. I love my life, the family and friends God has blessed me with, and the freedom to share it all with you. Yesterday I reached a small milestone and to thank you for staying with me this far, I'm giving you the chance to win a fun giveaway. Before we get to that though, let's take a walk down memory lane...

I love these little guys! My favorite color and cake flavor - Green Velvet Cupcakes for St. Patty's Day :)

The perfect treat for summer - Coconut Cream Cupcakes

My favorite so far - Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Cupcakes. If you haven't read this post, do so now! These are so cool and I can't wait to try them with a multitude of different pies!!

These were fun and delicious - Blueberry Pancake Cupcakes

Oh wow...just seeing this again makes me drool. Decadent Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake *sigh*

And, my two most recent posts...

The only fruit "cake" I'll ever eat. This was so delicious and refreshing. I'm so glad I came across this idea and will make it many more times!

Last, but not least - Rose Cupcakes for Mother's Day. Just beautiful and classic.

Well, there you have it. I can't wait to see what other fun and delicious treats I bake up and share here. I'm having so much fun and am so glad that you all have chosen to join me! Now on to the giveaway...

Some exciting personal news for me. Some of you may remember back in February when my family suffered the loss of our beloved dog, Buddy. It has been three months and we have grieved pretty heavily. The littlest things remind us of him on a daily basis. Well, I'm happy to say that God has turned our loss and sadness into something good. We just had an adoption application approved for a rescue Beagle puppy and we pick him up tomorrow! We are so excited to welcome this little guy into our family and I can't wait to share some pics with all of you. I know Buddy would approve. We have a lot of love to give and I'm so thankful to know that we are rescuing this dog and giving him a loving, stable home.

Be watching this weekend for a post on Alice in Wonderland and Star Wars cupcakes - the two custom orders I've been working on all week - as well as some pics and the name of our newest family member! As always, happy reading and, more importantly, happy cupcake-ing!
